Unity is Divinity Program: A Celebration of Unity of Faiths
On Sunday, 22nd September 2024, the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council New Zealand hosted the "Unity is Divinity" program, celebrating the unity of faiths, at Sai Aroha in Pakuranga, Auckland. The event was centered around the theme of Five Human Values (Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love and Non-Violence) and brought together representatives from various faiths to share their wisdom on unity and spirituality.
Nine faiths were invited to participate: Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, and Māori spirituality. Six of these faiths contributed to a spiritually enriching program, with each speaker sharing heartfelt insights on human values from the perspective of their respective faiths. Through these profound messages, a realization emerged: while our ways of worship may differ, we are all ultimately connected by the same divine essence.
The lighting of the lamp and candles symbolized the light of knowledge, with each faith representative lighting a candle to signify unity. The event was also interspersed with chants, prayers, and reflections, creating a harmonious atmosphere that echoed the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on the oneness of all religions.
The Unity is Divinity program was a beautiful reminder of how faith can bridge differences, inspiring love and unity in diversity.
Aum Sri Sai Ram!
