Glorious Guru Purnima Celebrations in Auckland

The auspicious day of Guru Purnima was celebrated with great reverence and devotion in Auckland, New Zealand. Despite the overcast and gloomy weather, it was attended by a big crowd. The concept of "Sri Sathya Sai - Guru, Guide, and God" served as the principal theme of the program. The entire program was telecasted Live on Facebook.

The evening started with the Vedic Chanting, followed by a melodious musical item offered by Young adults playing some holistic notes.

The speaker, brother Retesh Lal gave an enlightening talk glorifying our Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, as our “Guru, Guide and God”

Brother Shailendra, who serves as the vice president of the Sai Organization of New Zealand, provided a briefing on the upcoming Pilgrimage to Prasanthi, which is scheduled to take place before the end of the year.

The SSE Drama was broken up into three sections, each focusing on a different aspect of the event's overarching theme, which was "Guru, Guide, and God". The term "Guru" was investigated in the first section via a skit that emphasised both the definition of the word "Guru" and the functions that various types of Gurus play in our lives. A role-play was used in the second segment to investigate the concept of "Guide" with the primary focus being on the distinction between a Guide and a Guru. And finally, the third segment was a discussion that investigated the concept of "God" with an emphasis on "How God looks like?" and "Where it may be located?" The segment concluded with the takeaway that the focus of the search should shift from the outside to the within. You are the very personification of the highest divinity; you are God come to earth. The voyage must turn inward at some point.

Devoted Bhajans session was glorifying and transformed the entire environment of the hall, charged every atom with devotion, and transported everyone there back to Prasanthi, in the very presence of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Brother Niket Shah, the youth leader of the Northern Region, expressed his gratitude by thanking each and every person who had a hand in making the Guru Purnima celebrations of this year so memorable and joyful.

The evening's events came to a close with Swami giving a brief talk, the Aarti ceremony, and the distribution of packaged Prasadam to all of those who had gathered there for the Divine programme.
